Excel Video 498 Power View Charts Part 2

Last week Excel Video 497 discussed the limitations of Power View Charts. This week Excel Video 498 focuses on features of Power View Charts that aren’t available in Excel. The two big takeaways from this Excel Video are the ability to use a chart as a slicer and the ability to drill up and down in charts.

Notice that to drill down in charts, I’m adding additional fields to the Axis area of Power View Fields. The order of the fields in the axis area determines the drill down order. Watch how easy it is to drill up and down in Power View Charts. Traditional Excel charts can’t do this!
