Want a sneak peak of one of my presentations at next week’s MGMA Leaders Conference?

One of the top things savvy practice managers are focusing on now is looking beyond charges, payments, and adjustments to follow the paths patients take through the practice.  Today’s podcast shows an example of a practice tracking new patients’ experience in the practice to see which patients end up being treated and which patients are not treated.  Is the variance in medical treatment rate due to provider, insurance, location, the month of the new patient visit, or something different?  Part of this analysis is obviously a financial benefit to the practice, but there are clearly clinical benefits to patients who need to be treated.  Listen for ideas on what and how to track these patients and potential pitfalls when analyzing your practice data.  I look forward to seeing you in Nashville next week.
