This BIG Idea is based on a couple of recent projects to add telehealth visits to dashboards. Assuming reimbursement continues, telemedicine is likely to be with us for some time, so these practices are tracking telemedicine on weekly and monthly dashboards. Reimbursement is key, so the other example in this podcast is a group who is carefully tracking reimbursement on telehealth visits by procedure code, provider, and more to understand what is and is not being reimbursed. The practice plans to use this knowledge to navigate the rapidly changing telemedicine environment and decide which patients to focus on delivering care remotely and which patients need to be seen in the office to be reimbursed.
