There are four fast ways to paste data without getting your fingers sticky in Excel Video 205. Just like the past two videos, there is a keyboard shortcut (Control+V), an icon (a piece of paper and a clipboard), and a right-click option. You can also hit enter to paste. For me, hitting enter is the fastest way to paste.
Note that when you’re copying data, the first three methods will allow you to copy the data again, but hitting enter pastes the data and empties the clipboard (the highlight around the copied area goes away). This video covered simple pasting in Excel. There are a variety of ways to paste data called Paste Special. The menu looks different in Excel 2010, but most of the features have been available for years. We’ll start on Paste Special next time.
