Excel Video 266 walks you through 5 different ways to clear components of your data from a spreadsheet. The Clear menu is the tool we’ll use to do the clearing. We can clear everything with Clear All, we can just remove the formats with Clear Formats, we can just remove the contents of the cell with Clear Contents, or we can just remove any cell comments with Clear Comments. We’ll also discuss the two different options for removing or clearing hyperlinks.
These options make it easy to simply clear cells or to only clear components of the cells like the formats or contents. The trick is to combine the ability to clear with some of the options we’ll see in the Find and Select menu. Keep the clear functionality in mind as we start to review the Find and Select options starting with the next Excel Video.
