Data Labels are a way to provide additional information about data in your chart. Excel Video 447 shows you how to start using Data Labels. Today I’ll show you what a Data Label is, some options on how where to position Data Labels, and some ways to change the content of a Data Label. Data Labels can provide additional information on a chart that may help you replace a legend or an axis by displaying that information next to points on a chart.
Also watch for some ways to customize Data Labels. If I’m going to reuse this chart next month, I typically won’t make some of these adjustments, but if you’re creating a one-time chart, you might find these tricks handy.
