Today’s BIG Ideas podcast is a preview of a presentation I am doing for NJ MGMA Friday. The podcast describes some of the things you don’t know you don’t know about your practice. Your practice management system should do far more than simply file claims and knows far more than the canned reports tell you. How many open appointments do you have next week? How many scheduled appointments will be a problem when the appointment date arrives because of issues the practice management system could tell you, but doesn’t? What does it cost you to cancel a patient appointment? What is the value of a new patient, or a new line of business? It’s time to ask more from practice management data.
