Excel Video 108 walks through the process of creating a Sparkline. Notice how it’s fairly easy to create a new Sparkline from the Insert tab and how it’s even easier to copy a Sparkline to a range of cells. Excel will correctly reference the cell range for each Sparkline and copies the formatting to each new Sparkline as well.
Part of the appeal of Sparklines is the ability to quickly give one number on a report additional perspective. In today’s example, we can show a year’s worth of historical data in one cell that puts the October collections numbers in context. There are a couple of ways to organize Sparklines into groups to make them easier to manage. We’ll cover Sparkline groups in our next video. Thanks for watching.
