Excel Video 114 uses a new example to review the variety ways to highlight Sparklines with markers. Excel makes it easy to highlight the high and low points, negative points, and the first and last points in a Sparkline. It’s also easy to change the color of the markers so you can separate any negative numbers from the lowest point in the range, for example. If all of the Sparklines are in the same group, changing one of the Sparklines changes all of the other Sparklines to make them consistent.
Watch for how to delete a Sparkline. Sparklines are stored in a separate layer from the data in a cell. If you select a cell with a Sparkline, delete or backspace won’t delete the Sparkline, it only removes the data in the cell. To remove the Sparkline, you need to click Clear, either on the Sparkline Tools Design tab or on the Home tab.
