Excel Video 135 is an easier video than Excel Video 134. Today we’re simply going to set up the charts we need for the scrolling data. Since I want the charts to have similar formatting, I set up the bottom chart first and get it close to what I want. Once I’m most of the way through with the formatting, I simply copy the bottom chart to create the top chart and change the titles.
The next trick is to set up two named ranges so that every time we move the scroll bar, the charts reflect the correct collections data and the correct months. If you haven’t watched the series on OFFSET starting in Excel Video 85 in a while, you might want to review those videos. We’ll use OFFSET next time to get the rolling 12 month data in the top chart and the shaded area in the bottom chart.
Thanks for watching.
