Excel Video 149 continues our discussion of logical functions by introducing OR. In Excel Video 148, all of the conditions had to be true to make the statement true. This time, only one of the conditions needs to be true to make the statement true.
The IF statement in Excel Video 149 works just like our previous example. If the OR statement is true, Excel displays Work, otherwise Excel displays Not mine. Once you’re familiar with IF, nesting and combining IF, AND, and OR, you have a lot of tools to answer logical questions in Excel. Stay tuned for one more logical function. We’ll discuss NOT next time.
