Just in case you want to change the case of your data, Excel Video 159 has three easy functions to do just that. UPPER changes all of the text to upper case. LOWER changes all of the text to lower case (especially helpful if you want your data to look like most of the text messages I receive), and PROPER capitalizes the first letter in each word and makes the remaining letters lower case.
I use these functions primarily when I’m importing data from a practice management system or an electronic medical record. Some systems, particularly older systems, make names and other data all caps. If you want your imported data to look a little better, here are some functions to make it easy to do so.
Stay tuned. Next time I’ll show you another function that helps when importing data, especially from an older system.
