If you still haven’t found what you’re looking for, watch Excel Video 267 today. Excel Video 267 is the first in a series of videos about the find and replace features in Excel. As we go through the basics, watch for a potential gotcha. If you highlight an area of your spreadsheet before finding and replacing, Excel will only look in the highlighted area for what you’re trying to find. This is a helpful feature if you’re looking in a large spreadsheet and you know which area of the spreadsheet to look in. This feature can come back to get you if you inadvertently tell Excel to only look in one part of your spreadsheet when you intend to search the entire spreadsheet.
We’ll go through a basic find and replace example in this Excel Video as well. Stay tuned. The options button can make searches much more powerful. We’ll start exploring those options next time. I look forward to seeing you then.
