Excel Video 302 has two shortcuts to make the percentage calculations we’ve been discussing easier to choose. Watch how in Excel 2010 there is a new Calculations menu and a new way to right-click a value in a Pivot Table to get faster, easier access to the Show Values As menu we’ve been navigating to. Now that the menus are easier to access, I hope it makes it easier to try some of these calculations in your Pivot Tables.
We’ll also briefly discuss a Percent of the Parent Total option where Excel will let you choose which Parent field to total by. If you have multiple fields in the rows or columns of your Pivot Table, this feature will come in handy.
