Would you like to show the actual distance from a baseline instead of a percentage distance in your Pivot Table? Watch Excel Video 304. Today we’ll show the actual dollar difference in billed charges instead of the percentage difference. We’ll also show both the total billed charges and the dollar difference from one year to the next on the same Pivot Table. Notice that the difference between 2009 billed charges and 2009 billed charges is zero, so it shows up as a blank column in our Pivot Table. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of hiding Pivot Table columns in the video as well.
I hope you enjoyed the MGMA sessions on data mining and evaluating new payment methods in San Antonio. We’ll talk more about data mining at the Financial Management Society/Payer Contracting MGMA conference in Phoenix in February. I hope to see you then.
