Goal Seek is great, but as things get more complex, Solver can help you in Excel Video 333. We’ll start with one more Goal Seek example, but as the examples get more complicated, the challenge is that Goal Seek can only change one variable at a time and you can’t put constraints or conditions on the variables. For example, if you want to change the number of patients per month but your facility’s capacity is 100 patients per month, Goal Seek can’t factor in that constraint. Solver can. Solver’s more complicated than Goal Seek, but we’ll spend more than one Excel Video going through some examples.
Watch Excel Video 333 to see how activate Solver, where to find it in the menu, and how to get started. I’ll have more to say about Solver next time. Thanks for watching.
