We’re starting a new topic in Excel Video 402, macros and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). Macros and VBA are helpful ways to automate repeating processes in Excel. Given how much data is in the cloud lately and how much cleanup is required to work with some of the data coming out of the cloud, now is a good time to talk about how macros and VBA can make your life easier.
Today we’ll walk through how to add the Developer tab to the Ribbon, the xlsm file extension, and security settings for macros and VBA. Now that we have the pieces in place, we’ll introduce the Macro Recorder in the next Excel Video. I look forward to seeing you then.
