Excel Video 406 is a brief introduction to the Visual Basics for Applications code created by the Macro Recorder. Alt+F11 is the keyboard shortcut to get to the VBA screen. We’ll see where Excel stores the code generated by the Macro Recorder and get a 30,000 foot perspective on what the VBA code is doing. Don’t worry if the code looks complex to start with. We’ll cover what the VBA code is doing in future Excel Videos. The point for today is that if we’re careful with absolute and relative references and how we navigate around the spreadsheet, the Macro Recorder can make writing code a lot easier.
Before diving too far into VBA, we’ll discuss more ways to run Macros in the next Excel Video. I look forward to seeing you then.
