Excel Video 417 starts our discussion on identifying ranges for our VBA code to work on. In the Macro Recorder videos we were very concerned about which cell we started recording in. Once we can identify ranges of cells, it’s not as important which cell we’re in when we run the code. We’ll discuss several different ways to identify a range of cells, one or more cells in our spreadsheet we want to examine or change. We’ll use something called the ColorIndex property to change the background colors in the cells we select.
Everything I show you in Excel Video 417 assumes we’re running the code on the same worksheet we’re in (the active worksheet) when we start the code. We can also change cells besides the active worksheet. We’ll discuss how in the next Excel Video. Thanks for watching.
