Happy New Year!  If one of your practice’s new year’s resolutions is to increase physician productivity or if you have recently changed your physician comp plan, this BIG Ideas podcast is for you.  Too many practices take too long to report back to providers on basic practice metrics.  I am working on a project for a surgical group to automatically report their providers’ progress along four measures every month so that the providers know where they stand while they still have time to impact their quarterly bonus calculation.  The attached graphic is from another practice who puts physician compensation calculations on the providers’ dashboards so they can easily know what their compensation will look like and what they can do to affect that compensation.  How would automatically reporting more relevant data more frequently change how effective your physician compensation plan is?
