To a great extent, medical practices know how many patients are coming in today and tomorrow. Why don’t we act on it?
Today’s BIG Idea podcast has simple questions that practice management systems too often do not answer, or do not make the answer easy to access. How many patients are scheduled to arrive this morning? How could you staff the front desk, roomers, or clinical team differently just knowing that one number? What about this afternoon, or tomorrow? Can we break that number of appointments down by facility, provider group, appointment type, or more? It is hard to manage without numbers. The number of patients coming in today is a simple way to start, then build from there.
