Are you sure your practice is being paid what you should be paid?

How sure?

One way to analyze whether you are being paid correctly and completely is to analyze and trend your denial codes.  Claim Adjustment Reason Codes (CARCs) and Remittance Advice Remark Codes (RARCs) are industry standard ways of communicating payment information on EOBs.  Pulling CARCs and RARCs, and then linking those adjustments back to your charge data can give you deep insights into potential payment issues in your practice.  Listen to today’s BIG Ideas podcast for examples of what you might look for and how you might analyze your adjustments data.  Some of the adjustments may be incorrect, but many of those adjustments point to areas in your practice you need to correct.  Correcting those areas is much better than leaving money on the table.  Thanks for listening.
