I’m taking a little different approach starting in Excel Video 228. Rather than follow along with an Excel menu, for the next several videos we’ll discuss some basic tasks and ways to accomplish those tasks in Excel. We’ll start with three ways to get data in Excel to work with. You’ll see how to create a new spreadsheet, two ways to open an existing spreadsheet, and how to copy or move a tab from one spreadsheet to another. You can either copy or move the tab to an open workbook or create a new workbook to put the tab in, whichever works better for you.
These approaches work well when your data is in Excel. If the data you need isn’t in Excel, we’ll talk about some ideas in the next Excel Videos.
I welcome your feedback and suggestions on this approach to the basics and hope you’re enjoying the videos.
