Excel Video 264 covers filtering, a powerful way to focus on the data you need to work on. It’s easy to turn on filters, but you may find it helpful to get your data organized with column headers in the top row before you turn the filters on. Once you turn on filters, notice how Excel offers different types of filters based on the type of data in each column. You can use date, number, and text filters to help narrow down a ton of data to just the specific rows you need to see.
Filters are great and offer a lot of flexibility, but you get even more features if you convert your data to a Table. I’ll highlight some of the advantages of filtering in a Table in the next Excel Video. I look forward to seeing you then.
