Make the most of your TIME by watching Excel Video 168. I’ll cover three time related functions in this video. First, the TIME function lets you enter and/or calculate time in Excel, very similar to what we did with the DATE function in the last two Excel Videos.
The second trick is helpful when you’re importing time related data. Sometimes time data gets imported in a date or a general format. Watch Excel Video 168 to see what these formats look like and a quick way to fix them.
Finally, I’ll discuss how to do some basic time related calculations in Excel. Anesthesia groups, surgical groups, hospitals, ASC’s and others that are concerned about elapsed time will find the elapsed time calculation and related formatting helpful. Note that the elapsed time calculations I describe in Excel Video 168 only work when the elapsed time is less than 24 hours. We’ll work on calculating time when the difference is over 24 hours in the next Excel Video. I look forward to seeing you then.
