If you’d like to see how components of your Pivot Table change over time, try ranking the values in Excel Video 307. Excel will let you rank from lowest to highest or from highest to lowest based on whatever baseline value you choose in your Pivot Table. You’ll see in today’s video how AETNA changes from being the third to the fourth biggest payer from 2009 to 2010. Ranking makes it easier to spot trends in your Pivot Table.
