Excel Video 397 showed you how to add data to a Table, but if you need to change the size of a Table, watch Excel Video 398. The example in the video that I’ve done most often is when I need to add data to the left of a table. The Resize Table button will let you expand your Table to include additional columns as long as the header row stays the same and the new Table overlaps the old Table. You can also shrink the Table without deleting the rows if you need to.
Next time we’ll talk about the formulas that Excel creates for Table data. The formulas look intimidating, but there’s an easy way to work with them. I look forward to seeing you then.
