Excel Video 413 has two more tricks to add to your debugging arsenal. Both tricks relate to how to respond to a macro within a macro. Macros can call (or run) other macros. We’ll call the macro that calls another macro the parent macro. We’ll call the macro that is called the child macro. When you Step Over a child macro, Excel runs the underlying code in the child macro, but does not step through the child macro line by line. When you’re running a child macro line by line and want to finish processing and return to the parent macro, chose Step Out.
There’s another way to navigate your way through a macro. We’ll discuss that in the next Excel Video. I look forward to seeing you then.
