This BIG Idea is based on a recent poll from my friends at MGMA Stat. MGMA Stat is a free, text-message based, national poll that addresses current healthcare issues. The MGMA Stat poll showed that 82% of healthcare leaders report that some or all of their providers’ compensation has been impacted thanks to COVID-19. The BIG Idea podcast address some ways to help that provider compensation recover more quickly. I will discuss ideas around adjusting provider templates to see more patients from better payers, considering time from new patient visit to surgery or procedure to prioritize patients, and to analyzing procedure mix to maximize revenue from providers’ time.
